From the Publisher:

Written By: Sydna Masse

We can debate abortion all we want, but the fact remains that there is pain involved in abortion. Much more than just a work on forgiveness, this is a much needed handbook for identifying the characteristics of post-abortion syndrome (Abortion PTSD), as well as a spiritual resource for coming to terms with your past abortion and finding the hope of God’s healing. This is a touching story that begins in pain and ends in healing. Readers will learn that spiritual and emotional healing is not only possible, it is God’s way of restoring us.  This book is also an excellent read for those related to post-abortive individuals as it will help them understand and reach out to loved ones who may be grieving a past abortion.

Book Description

What do 33% of American women have in common? They’ve experienced abortion.

You might be one of these women. Or maybe it’s your friend, sister, coworker, or the woman sitting next to you at church. Regardless, post-abortive women are in pain, but you may never know. Many are silent because they are filled with shame, grief, and guilt, and they’re afraid of judgment and condemnation. Few realize that peace is attainable through Christ.

Written by a post-abortive woman, Her Choice to Heal includes testimonies of strength, healing, and hope. Sydna Masse compassionately leads women on the difficult journey through denial, anger, and grief, to forgiveness, redemption and letting go. Women will find a roadmap to healing with practical suggestions and resources for help, as well as the encouragement and hope found in Christ alone.

“Her Choice to Heal is a rare tool in helping women who are struggling with the pain that often follows an abortion decision. Through Meier Clinics, we are increasingly coming into contact with post-abortive men and women who need direct ministry in grieving these children and coming to a point of peace through God’s redemptive love. This book is a great tool to help these clients understand the system we employ in processing this pain and move forward in embracing the healing that God provides.”

Paul Meier, MD, founder of Meier Clinics

“The word abortion brings judgment, shame, heartache, and defensiveness to the surface. The war regarding abortion is intense and dark and is seldom addressed with the clarity, compassion and conviction of God’s mercy as found in Her Choice to Heal. Sydna Masse has offered those who have experienced abortion firsthand and those who love them a wise and kind path for healing. She is honest, hopeful, and passionately convinced that the love of God is stronger than death, and transformation surer than shame. I am profoundly grateful for this labor of love.”

Dan B. Allendar, PhD, president and professor of Counseling Psychology, Mars Hill Graduate School and author of The Wounded Heart and The Healing Path

“In your neighborhood, your office, or in the church pew next to you, there are women who are silently suffering from the pain of a choice they made to end the life of an unborn child. It may have been years ago or just a few days ago. You may know the pain yourself. This is a book that can begin the process of healing the ache in your soul.”
